TOW TRUCK OPERATOR

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Position Title: Tow Truck Operator

Location: 1 Ebert St Griffith

Hours: 38 per week plus overtime when required.

Reports to: Service Manager

Remuneration: Depending on qualifications and experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

Lanhams Motor Group are your authorised NRMA Agent. A great opportunity has become available to join our team as a Tow Truck Operator. This is an important role in supporting NRMA members across the local area by helping to keep them safe and moving.  You will be on the frontline providing towing assistance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responding to road service calls, loading, transporting and unloading vehicles. Doing so in in a professional manner while adhering to all road rules. 
• Helping to represent the Lanhams Motor Group & NRMA brand by understanding the needs of the customer and demonstrating customer-first service solutions.
• Utilising your towing and transportation expertise to analyse the vehicle breakdown position and identify the most appropriate action to recover, secure and transport the vehicle according with safety standards and tow truck regulations.
• Ensure clear and appropriate communication with members, ensuring member safety and excellent customer service at all stages during the recovery process.
• Maintain tools, uniforms and equipment so that presentation is kept to a high standard and in a serviceable condition.
• Actively contribute to working groups, toolbox talks, trials and committees to enhance operations.
• When not on tow jobs, assist in the workshop picking up and delivering customers or their cars when required. Cleaning workshop and vehicles.

CRITERIA:

To be successful in this role, applicants :

• A full valid NSW Medium Rigid Driver’s License (or higher)  
• A valid Tow Truck Driver’s Certificate or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencement. (How to apply)
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster over a 7-day week (including public holidays) – for 12-hour shifts
• Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrated experience to work effectively across diverse communities.     
• Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices with the ability to follow safe work procedures to ensure the highest level of safety is maintained.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.     
• A strong team player with a flexible and robust attitude, together with a positive mindset. 
• An ability to adapt to change and work within new and changing parameters. 
• A passion for transportation, cars or trucking and/or relevant experience in the industry is desirable.
• This position will be based out of our Griffith Service Department.

DETAILER (GRIFFITH & LEETON)

Position Title: Full Time Detailer

Location: 2 Positions available.  Griffith & Leeton NSW

Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday - Friday

Reports to: Dealer Principal

Remuneration: Retainer

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

We pride ourselves on having an exceptionally well-presented showroom including our new, demo and used vehicles.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Vehicle Detailer for a full-time position at our Leeton Showroom and ideally can drive our tow truck, or willing to obtain a licence.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Assisting with delivery and pick up of customer cars

-Detailing of new, demo and used vehicles, as well as our fleet of rental vehicles

-General yard duties, including setting up of flags, open and close of cars, ensuring the dealership is neat and tidy.

 

CRITERIA:

To be successful in this role, applicants :

- must be fit and energetic

- have a high level of attention to detail and take pride in their work.

- Have a good driving record and an open Australian Driver’s Licence

-Ability to prioritise daily tasks

-Ideally can drive our tow truck, or willing to obtain a licence.
